All Natural Stain Removal

Posted by on January 9th, 2012

Next time you have a spill on your favorite shirt, you don’t need to use heavy chemical stain removers. With just a few household ingredients you can make an easy, all natural stain remover that will keep your clothing looking like new.

Baking soda is one of the most useful kitchen products. Aside from being a powerful deodorizer, a little baking soda mixed with water makes a paste that is excellent for removing stains from clothing.

Regular dish washing liquid makes a wonderful stain remover for most food stains. If ketchup, mustard or barbecue sauce are decorating more than your sandwich, just dab your clothing with white vinegar before washing. White distilled vinegar also makes a great all natural stain remover for grass or lipstick stains!

To brighten your whites add one cup of distilled vinegar to a large pot of water. Once the water is boiling just drop in your dingy whites, and then let them soak overnight.

Remember to test a small area of the fabric to make sure it won’t bleach your clothing.
