Pineapple Slices | Guarantee Green BlogWe all know that barbecued meats and vegetables have a special, summer flavor, but what about barbecued desserts? This summer, take full advantage of your barbecue with this delicious barbecued pineapple recipe.

It’s important to use fresh pineapple for this recipe. Pick up a fresh pineapple at the store, and then slice it into one inch rings (after removing the peel and core).

Make a sauce with ΒΌ teaspoon honey, 3 tablespoons melted butter, then add hot sauce, salt and pepper to taste.

Place all the ingredients together inside of a large, zip lock bag. Make sure you shake the bag well to evenly coat all the slices of pineapple. Leave the bag in the refrigerator overnight, or at least a few hours.

When the grill is nice and hot, grill the pineapple slices for 2 to 3 minutes each side. You can serve these yummy treats as dessert, or as a side dish right alongside the meat for an added kick.
