How to Clean Your Sneakers

Posted by on March 6th, 2012

It’s tempting to toss away a smelly pair of sneakers, especially when it gets to the point where you can’t even keep them in the house because the smell is unbearable. Spending a little time on your favorite sports shoes can help you get more time out of them. A few simple steps can save your sports shoes.

First, make a solution of laundry detergent and warm water. Rinse your shoes with the soapy mixture, and be sure to wash every part of the shoe. To remove the soapy mixture, just rinse the shoes with water.

To dry your shoes, just stuff them full of paper. Newspaper has ink that will run so try to find other paper. Remove the liners of the shoes and lay them out to dry. Shoe laces can be washed with the laundry, but it’s usually a good time to buy new ones.

It’s so easy to make your sports shoes as good as new, you’ll never have to worry about having super stinky shoes again.
