Jump Start Your Spring Cleaning

It might still feel like winter outside, but Spring is right around the corner. Get started on your Spring cleaning now so that when the warm weather is finally here you’ll be able to spend your time outdoors enjoying life instead of inside cleaning. Here are some tips for getting a jump start on your Spring cleaning projects.
Start by making a list of everything you need to do to get your home ready for warm weather. List each room and what you need to do, then you can tackle rooms one by one when you have the time. By taking on the house one room at a time you’ll get everything done without ever getting overwhelmed.
All winter long dust and dirt build up inside the home. Now is a great time to get rugs taken out of the home and cleaned so that you can remove excess dust from the home. Take a broom to the corners of the ceiling and along the corners of the walls to remove cob webs. This is also the perfect time to dust behind large pieces of furniture that often get forgotten in regular cleanings.
Check to make sure that you have plenty of cleaning supplies so that you won’t have to stop and run to the store after you get started. This year, make the move to green cleaning supplies. With nothing more than vinegar and baking soda you can make your own cleaner for nearly everything in the home. Cut up old, winter clothing that won’t make it to next winter and use them as cleaning rags to save on paper towels.
