Leftover Summer Stains

Then sponge the stain with a dry cleaning solvent until it absorbs completely into the carpet. Continue cleaning the stain with a simple mixture of hot water and dish detergent. Saturate the stain until the carpet absorbs the liquid. After this, process to blot the stain with a strong mixture of 1 tablespoon ammonia and 2 cups warm water. Finally sponge the area with cold water and blot to dry.
